Sixt first Danish lease company to go greener for the future

  • Sixt first Danish lease company to go greener for the future

The leasing company Sixt Denmark has accepted the joint invitation from European green NGOs to go greener for the environment. Now, the ice has broken, and the European leasing sector is beginning to vow green for the future.
Cleaner Car Contracts is a campaign for greener cars, in which green NGOs from all over Europe have joined forces to invite leasing companies and fleet owners to vow green for the environment. The first leasing company to join the campaign was the Danish Sixt.

Christian Ege, chairman of the Danish NGO in Cleaner Car Contracts says: “It is important that the Danish leasing sector wants to lead in this field, and that we can help them do so. Until now, we have been lacking a simple system through which companies can show that they wish to reduce CO2-emissions. Cleaner Car Contracts is now filling this gap.”

Sixt emphasises that they see participation in the Cleaner Car Contracts campaign as a natural part of a wider engagement to reduce CO2-emissions from their operations. Beyond being the first leasing firm in Europe to sign a Cleaner Car Contract.
